Reg to Vote

On Friday, May 25th, the people of Ireland will vote in a Referendum on removing the Eight Amendment to the Constitution.

While there are many opinions on both sides, Limerick Youth Service (LYS) is encouraging young adults, particularly first time voters, to ensure their voice is heard and register to vote.

Colour Run & Youth Games

Limerick Youth Service is delighted to announce that this year’s Youth Work Games will take place at Garryowen RFC, Dooradoyle, Limerick on Saturday, April 28th (registration at 11am).
The Youth Work Games will include Ireland’s tallest mobile climbing wall, hover-ball archery, kick darts, giant skis, a BBQ and a super colour run.

Celebration of Learning at LYS

There were joyous scenes at the Abundant Life Centre, Limerick this past week as young people from Limerick Youth Service (LYS) were honoured at a Celebration of Learning at the city centre location.

This person (s) does not represent Limerick Youth Service.  We do not raise funds via door to door collections.

Discovery Day for Erasmus+

Limerick Youth Service & Leargas are inviting those interested in the Erasmus Plus programme, which outlines funding opportunities for European youth exchanges & projects, to an information workshop at Limerick Youth Service, 5 Lw Glentworth St, Limerick on Wednesday, April 18th from 10-12pm.

Teen Talent Showcased at Youth Factor

Young comedians, dancers, rappers, mime artists & musicians all took to the stage at LIT’s Millennium Theatre recently, as young people participated in Limerick Youth Service’s annual variety show, the Youth Factor.

Limerick Youth Service’s iconic Community Training Centre will hold an open day for young people, parents, employers, teachers, career guidance councillors on Wednesday, March 21st (10am-2pm).

New Youth Club in Kilcornan

Youth Club fun with Limerick Youth Service

Parents/guardians of young people, some of whom may be engaged with the Mid-West Disability Service, are invited to an information evening on the opening of a new youth club at Kilcornan Community Centre, on Wednesday, March 7th at 7:30pm.

Young Cyclists Honoured

There were joyous scenes at the Southside Youth Space recently as eight young people who took part in an innovative bike programme with Limerick Youth Service (LYS), received their Certificates of Achievement from Cllr. Gerald Mitchell.

A New Dawn in Doon

There was excitement in the air on the Limerick/Tipperary border this past week (that had nothing to do with hurling) as Doon Youth Club opened its doors!
The new youth club, which is located at the Community Centre, joins the over thirty youth clubs that are affiliated to Limerick Youth Service.
