As part of the recent Limerick Mental Health Awareness Week, young people at Rathkeale Youth Space hosted a positive youth mental health day and raised much needed funds for Temple St Hospital.
Teenagers from southeast Limerick who played a key role in fundraising for positive youth mental health projects, enjoyed a well-earned New Year’s retreat with Limerick Youth Service.
With Limerick destined to be at the All Ireland finals for the next five years, Limerick Youth Service has the perfect New Year’s ticket for every GAA supporter-a possible trip to Croke Park for the next 10 All Ireland finals!
The prize is part of a New Year’s fundraising initiative by Limerick Youth Service that includes two tickets to the football and hurling finals until 2019!
The annual Ger McDonnell Memorial Cycle was officially launched by Deputy Mayor of Limerick, Cllr. Maira Byrne, at Limerick Youth Service’s 40th anniversary celebration at the Clarion Hotel, Limerick on Friday last, May 24th.
Mayor of Limerick, Cllr. Gerry McLoughlin, will officially launch the Ger McDonnell Memorial Cycle 2013 at the Clarion Hotel, Steamboat Quay, Limerick next, May 24th at 7:30pm.
The cycle, which will take place on Saturday, 27th July at 9:00am, is dedicated to the memory of Ger McDonnell the first Irishman to climb K2, the second highest mountain on Earth.
