Strategic Aim 1
 
Service Delivery: Delivering comprehensive and accountable services that are young people centred

Strategic Objectives
•    Deliver innovative learning, development and recreational programmes for young people.
•    Provide locally based services that enable and support young people to participate and value their community.
•    Recruit, train and support volunteers so that community leadership is enhanced.
•    Support young people during crisis and life transitions.
•    Provide specific supports for young people most at risk of exclusion.

Strategic Aim 2

Participation: Supporting young people to experience participation and citizenship thus strengthening their involvement in community life

Strategic Objectives
•    Have young people involved in all decision-making structures of Limerick Youth Service.
•    Educate young people in their responsibility as citizens.
•    Work with communities to ensure young people are welcomed and valued.
•    Create real opportunities for young people to belong to community groups.
•    Ensure equality of opportunity for all young people.

Strategic Aim 3

Advocacy: Giving young people a voice in how they live, learn, work and play and protecting and safeguarding their interests

Strategic Objectives
•    Promote positive image of young people as contributors to community life.
•    Empower young people to make positive choices and opportunities.
•    Facilitate young people to have their voices heard on relevant issues.
•    Lobby/campaign on matters of relevance to young peoples lives.

Leadership: Inspiring others with direction and insights by modelling values, ethics and skills

Strategic Objectives
•    Highlight and share models of best practice.
•    Become the organisation that is respected and influential within the community and voluntary sector.
•    Become a progressive and thinking organisation by engaging in research.

Partnership: Working with others to enhance achievements and opportunities for young people

Strategic Objectives
•    Strengthen professional relationships with a range of community, voluntary and statutory organisations and groups.
•    Be transparent in all aspects of Limerick Youth Service.
•    Develop a system for effective collaboration in the organisation.

Excellence: Work to achieving best practice in all activities and services

Strategic Objectives
•    Develop and implement a quality system.
•    Develop our Human Resource capacity in order to become an Employer of Choice.
•     Ensure sustainable resources are in place to maintain and increase provision of services.
•    Develop on-going monitoring and evaluations for the continued improvement and growth of the organisation
