Treaty Club Winners in Banner

Midwest United- Clonlara & Kildimo Youth Clubs

Midwest United- Clonlara & Kildimo Youth Clubs

There was double success for Kildimo Youth Club at an interclub indoor football tournament held at Clonlara Community Centre, Co. Clare recently.

Hosted by Clonlara Youth Club, the tournament saw young people from both youth clubs take part in a highly competitive tournament.

After several close battles, great saves, superb goals and one or two highly questionable referring decisions, it was the Treaty County that emerged victorious as they won the boys and girls tournament respectably.

‘It was a great evening with the young people from both clubs really enjoying themselves,’ said Mary Duhig, Limerick Youth Service (LYS).

‘Interclub events are very popular with LYS affiliated youth clubs as they offer young people an opportunity to meet new people and visit new places.

Mary thanked the young people and volunteers from Kildimo and Clonlara for making the evening a great success with a special word of thanks to the Banner club for their hospitality.
