Young people, volunteers, neighbours and representatives from local schools and organisations dropped by Limerick Youth Service’s newly refurbished youth space in King’s Island on recently.

Located in the heart of Limerick’s Medieval Quarter, Nicholas St Youth Space is home to a number of youth clubs/projects with new ventures on the horizon.

‘The Coffee Morning was an opportunity to tour the youth space, speak with young people and staff and find out more about the many activities that take place here,’ said Martin Duhig, LYS.

Among the many projects based at the youth space is the King’s Island Youth Club (formerly D’Islanders Youth Group) and the King’s Island Garda Youth Diversion Projects.

Nicholas St Youth Space can be found at 41 Nicholas St (opp St. Mary’s Cathedral) and is one of LYS’ 6 dedicated youth spaces.

A member of Youth Work Ireland, LYS remains committed to connecting with young people and supporting them to reach their full potential.
