IT skills are a key feature of our retail course 

Young people interested in a career in the retail sector, one of Ireland’s fastest growing industries are invited to enrol in an exciting Retail Skills Course at Limerick Youth Service.

The inovative course will equip participants with the relevant knowledge, skill and competence to work effectively in Ireland’s vibrant retail sector.

Learners will study a variety of subjects such as customer service, retail sales techniques, computer applications, stock control and more while also taking part in periods of work placement with some of Ireland’s leading retail employers.

The course is delivered in a supportive environment at LYS’s Community Training Centre, Lr. Glentworth St, Limerick where leaners can also take part in extra-curricular activities that will enhance their social and personal development.

On graduating learns will have a an QQI (Quality & Qualifications Ireland) Level 4 Certification and will have the knowledge, capability and experience to progress to employment and further education & training.

The Retails Skills Course is open to young people (16-21yrs) with some participants entitled to a training allowance.

The Retails Skills Course is supported by the Limerick & Clare Education & Training Board, Solas  and the European Social Fund.
