Among the courses available is the Diploma in Baking Skills, a two year programme where trainees learn about the baking industry such as understanding of ingredients and methods used to produce bread and confectionary products.

The Catering Course, is an exciting project that introduces learners to the various parts of the industry including short order cooking, customer services and restaurant skills. With both courses delivered in industry standard facilities that are open to the public, learners gain first-hand experience of working in a bakery or restaurant.

Childhood development, child observation techniques and recognising the diverse needs of children and families, are just some of the many modules covered in the Early Childhood Education & Care Support Course that is a great base for those wishing to pursue careers in the sector.

The Leaving Cert Applied is suitable for students who prefer the practical and continuous assessment approach in contrast to that of the ‘mainstream’ Leaving Cert.

The balance between classroom based activities and practical skills with periods of work placement and extra-curricular activities provides a young person with a more rounded experience.
